Breakers Motel is clean, basic and competatively priced. It is well located near the sea front within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants, shops, etc.
This is nothing to do with the motel, but we were rather taken aback when we arrived at Morro Bay to find a huge power station right in the middle of town looming over the otherwise picturesque sea front. Whoever was responsible for that appalling bit of town planning should be ashamed of themselves!
Worst experience! Rooms shown on photos were bright and airy...no way! Dingy, dark, room smelly--in a word yuk! Breakfast shown as appetizing...didn't open until 10 A.M. and then was only coffee and packaged muffin..yuk! What was best? Nothing!
Location, location, location
Lack of knowledgable desk personnel
Quiet and close to town
Need new bed spreads, they smell.
beach front and shop easy access
Good view of Morro Bay and Morro Rock - we stayed on 3rd floor - may not have same view from lower floors. Room was clean and comfortable, with easy walk to restaurants and sea front. Overall good value.
Overall setting not attractive, but met expectations from description when booking. No elevator.
The view was amazing! Staff was very cool and the price was affordable. We will definitely stay there again.
the view was amazing and the staff was excellent
I drink a few cups of coffee in the morning, and having to wait till 9 am for the continental breakfast (or even a cup of coffee) was a little ridiculous. There was a toaster, and sliced bread but nothing to put on the bread-I guess it was a good way to cut calories, and kids went in and wiped out almost everything else which was not replaced. We also enjoyed the fireplace, but the one log per day (we couldn't even buy one there) was a little strange. It was pretty chilly most of the time and we would have enjoyed having a fire in the morning and evening.
The location was really neat among the shops, next to the Saturday market and close to the water. The hotel was definitely "old school" be we enjoyed it tremendously.
That it took so long for the hot water in the shower to heat up. I hate wasting water!
The location was real good We go to motto bay4 Times a year.
It was quite noisy You could hear everything going on Next door and upstairs. They did not come in And Tend to our room They forgot it
View. Fireplace. Location.Hard bed. Old Pillows. Filthy. Dirty showere, bath, carpet, walls, floor
We stay here every time we go to Morro Bay.
The place was filthy! I would not even use The shower. There were spider webs everywhere. The sheets were paper thin and the bedspread was something out of the 60s. The security was lousy. My friends were going to spend two nights there but checked out in the morning and found another room. I will never stay there again and you should not offer them for bookings until they clean up the place.
The hotel room was very clean. The beds where very comfortable to sleep on. The shower was great! This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Morro Bay and believe me I have stayed at quite a few. We will be staying at the hotel every time we come back if it is available!!
